Dieting And Exercise Do not Work? DISCOVER THE THIRD SECRET TO GREAT WEIGHT LOSS

Healthy eating and physical activity is not enough to get rid of extra kilos, according to a recent scientific study.

If you've struggled with diet and have followed the recommendations of practice exercises, but even then you have failed to eliminate those extra kilos that bother you, maybe you need anything more to achieve your goal: sleep.

According to the results of a study recently published in the Annals of Internal Medicine, without adequate rest, fat cells respond less to insulin, which may lead to overweight and diabetes.

Although several epidemiological analyzes have suggested that people who sleep poorly tend to be overweight and worse insulin resistance, this new research is the first to show the molecular basis linking sleep and obesity.

"We found that fat cells (adipocytes) need to 'sleep' to function properly," said Matthew Brady, one of the authors of the study, professor of medicine and vice chair of Molecular Metabolism and Nutrition at the University of Chicago.

Although fat has no good reputation, has an important function in the human body. The cells of this tissue are responsible for securely storing lipids (fat molecules), but when these cells stop responding to insulin the body will also start to make your job worse lipid storage and stay in the bloodstream, which is a pre-type 2 diabetes status,

For the study, volunteers who spend four consecutive nights sleeping eight and a half hours and four nights resting only four and a half hours was requested. Food intake was strictly controlled and were all under the same conditions. To the participants, I also bled, for as-glucose test (which measures insulin sensitivity), and a biopsy to remove fat cells from the abdomen and laboratory analysis.

What was found is that after four nights when asleep shortly volunteers, their fat cells had a 30% lower insulin sensitivity, because these cells phosphorylation performed worse (chemical reaction) of a protein Akt called crucial to the insulin response. This reduction (30%) is comparable to the difference which exists between the cells of an obese person, and a slim person, or observed in a person with diabetes, and one without the disorder.

The only criticism I have so far received is that this study was done with only seven volunteers, young and healthy,
